Mr. James Wu Chen started his architectural practice 30 year ago and was the founder of JWC Architect PLLC since 2000.
He is an active licensed architect in the State of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and California. His expertise and vast range of experience in Zoning Resolutions, codes requirements, construction means and method etc. has allowed him to play a leading role in various projects such as residential, hotel, office, retail, as well as mixed-use. Mr. Chen has been working with clients closely from beginning to end focusing on economic and effective solutions.
He is currently a member of AIA , CIMA, APA and he is also certified LEED AP by USGBC, as well as a certificate holder of NCARB. He received his Master Degree in Architecture from Tongji University in Shanghai China and was enrolled in a master degree program in Urban Design at Pratt Institute New York.
Mr. Chris Cheng Gu started his professional engineering career in US 17 years ago with Weidlinger Associates Inc. During his tenure in WAI, building projects with his involvement as project manager or project engineer, such as Bank of China Beijing Headquarter, Rockefeller University Pedestrian Bridge and Plaza, Cheju Stadium Korea, Smith College Campus Center, Lambs Club Hotel, Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visitor Center etc. received state or national awards. His building design experience covers full spectrum of structural engineering aspects on design and construction, new or renovation.
He is an active licensed PE in the State of New York and Connecticut. He received his Ph.D. in Structural Mechanics from China Academy of Building Research in Beijing and M.S. in Structural Engineering from Northern Jiaotong University in Beijing.
